Puna Geothermal Venture

Now what’s up with Puna Geothermal Venture (PGV)? Are they starting up again? Have they made any public statements as to their intentions? Did they obtain an air permit application for their new planned activities? In order for PGV to resume operations, PGV will need to conduct substation repair. For more information from PGV’s first community meeting for 2019 that took place Friday, March 22, 2019 in Pahoa view:

The Puna Pono Alliance has been watching their activities since the May 2018 lava flow halted operations at PGV. Now they have filed a contested case against PGV for their failure to obtain the necessary permits for their exploratory activities and they need donations to support their process.
